Isla de Chiloe Local Events
Many Chiloé events and festivities are filled with religious and cultural features. Isolated from the rest of the world and the country for hundreds of years, Chiloé developed unique cultural characteristics, many of which can still be seen today. Most events in Chiloé take place over the summer, from December to March, but many others occur during winter. The festivals during the summer are a great opportunity to see the old traditions of Chiloé, and they occur in every town of the archipelago. Chiloé also has documentary festivals, theatre seasons or art galleries; all fused within this unique place.
