Palafito Hostel

Palafito hostel is located in the traditional district in the Gamboa neighbourhood which is south of the city of Castro. This neighbourhood brings out the photographer in nearly everyone, with the beautiful palafitos (stilt houses). The site is undergoing reconstruction for the reception of tourists (cabins and hostels).

Una vez que baje del autobús en la estación, camine afuera del terminal de buses, tendrá la plaza principal de Castro a media cuadra a su derecha. Vaya por este camino hasta llegar a la plaza, siga caminando en la misma dirección, usted caminará una cuadra hasta llegar a la salida sur de Castro, este camino bordea la ciudad, y le lleva hasta el río Gamboa (deberá  tener el mar a su izquierda y la ciudad a su derecha), una vez que llegue el puente Gamboa (el único en el río), crúcelo y luego tome el primer giro a la izquierda después de éste. Estará viendo el Barrio Gamboa y los palafitos (las famosas casas construidas sobre pilotes de madera). La cuarta casa en la parte litoral de la calle es el Palafito Hostel. Fuera de la terminal también se puede tomar un taxi, que se detiene en la entrada del alojamiento (sólo decirle al conductor que se dirigía a Palafito Hostal en Gamboa).

Once you get off at the bus at the station, walk outside by its front side, you'll have Castro's main square at half block to your right. Walk this way until you reach the square, keep walking in the same direction and pass it, you'll walk another block until you reach Castro's southern exit, this road goes along the city as it gets you to the river (you'll have the sea at your left and the city to your right), once you reach Gamboa Bridge (the only one at the river), cross it and then take the very first left turn after it. You'll be seeing the Gamboa neighbourhood and the palafitos (the famous houses built over wooden stilts). The fourth house on the shoreline side of the street is Palafito Hostel.

Outside the terminal you can also take a taxi, which stops at the entrance to the accommodation (tell the driver you are headed to Palafito Hostel in Gamboa).
